PUTTING THE BOOT IN

Morgan De Toi Guava boots

HASN'T it been cold? I read somewhere that it's the coldest start to winter in over 30 years.

The UK average temperature for the first third of December has been only 1.7 °C compared to the long-term average of 4.7 °C according to the Met Office website.

I really hate winter. Getting up in the dark and not returning from work until its pitch back is a real chore. In fact I think I must suffer from SAD. But one thing I do like when the weather gets chilly is wearing my boots. I know I'm a shoeaholic at heart but I do wear boots occasionally and have about 8 pairs in different colours of course. The other day I was walking into work and I spotted a woman wearing a fab pair of suede boots. They were black knee length with a tan platform and heel. It was a bit too busy for conversation - I'm not a morning person - or I would have asked her where she bought them.

However now I wish I had as I've been trawling the internet and can't find anything like them. If anyone out there knows were I could buy a pair like it I'd love to know.

In the meantime I think I'll shop around and keep an eye out for the suede-boot-wearing woman. I wont be so shy next time!

During my internet browse I did spot a rather nice pair of Morgan De Toi Guava boots by Morgan on the Amazon site.

They were reduce from £64.99 to £50.00 and were pretty smart I can say with a buckle across the foot and another at the top of the leg.

But with Christmas and the credit crunch I had to resist. I wonder how long I will last?
