My Edinburgh Experience Part II

Naked waiter Thomas provided the entertainment to start off a great evening.

IF YOU remember last week I told you about my weekend trip to Edinburgh to attend a hen party.

After a somewhat lengthy journey and a confrontation with a train driver and a drunken woman in a rather shady Wigan pub, we arrived at 10pm, well oiled with wine and starving.

A lovely Nepalese restaurant next door to our accommodation did the trick.

The next day we headed off for the world-famous Princes Street for a bit of retail therapy where I purchased a rather snazzy pair of black sparkling stilettos. Not for my feet but for the Christmas Tree!!

We then nipping into Harvey Nicks for cocktail hour (hey, I know how to live) before heading off back to the apartment to get ready for the evening party.

Earlier in the day we had been told to be ready for 6pm and make our way to the communal dining room where we would be served drinks by a naked waiter!!

Yes you are reading this right. We weren't really sure what to expect but I think everyone was hoping the room would be warm enough for our guest!

Thomas turned out to be a rather hunky Polish guy who donned a miniscule pinny and for two hours kept 16 ladies' glasses topped up with wine.

Hazel, the girl whose hen night it was, had warned she would walk out if anyone got her a strippergram, so I guess her friends thought this was the next best thing.

The experience cost us £12 each, so for two hours work Thomas made over £150. Not bad when you consider we were one of three bookings he had that evening!

After our special guest had left, we all jumped into awaiting taxis and set out for a lovely meal at The Living Room.

I was wearing a new pair of silver sling-backs I had purchased the week before in New Look, Ormskirk and was testing them out for the first time. And I'm happy to report they were perfectly comfortable, which was a good job since my 'friends' made me walk all the way back to the apartment. How cruel!
