I've Just Got To Have Them

Well I have and not just one pair either. I have an amazing ability to forget how painful a pair of shoes can be and so it's not surprising that I have more than one pair of 'please don't make me walk' shoes.
There was an interesting article in The Independent this week about the latest killer heels fad which I refer to at the end of this entry.
They were very snazzy, party shoes I suppose, although who needs a party to wear a nice pair of shoes? I don't.
Anyway I tried them on as I always do and straight away I knew they were going to be so uncomfortable.
They were very hard on the sole of my foot and were definitely not something I could wear on a night which required walking any distance.
So obviously, I left them on the shelf! Did I heck as like. I liked them that much that I convinced myself that they would be fine as long as I went by car, was dropped off at the door of my chosen venue and any walking (apart from to the bar and the toilet) was out of the question.
So have I worn them I hear you asking? Well I have a couple of times but I have had to make sure I know the full itinerary for the evening before even daring to venture out of the house.
The things I do for a nice pair of shoes!
NB: A colleague of mine spotted an article in The Independent this week by Harriet Walker referring to the latest foot fashion - skyscraper heels.
It appears Posh was seen out in a pair of 5in heeled Christian Louboutin's Lola pumps while out at lunch with Desperate Housewives' actress Eva Longoria (pictured), not that she had far to walk according to the article. Harriet describes the Lolas as strictly a taxi-to-table type shoe and I know exactly what she means.
