Latest from Jan True...

I went to a mainland Greek resort called Hanioti in Halkidiki and very nice it was too. And yes, in case your wondering, I did buy shoes - two pairs in fact.

Just wearing them gives me an air of confidence I don't have in my bare feet.
Mind you I am only 5ft 2½ (the half an inch is very important as it makes me the tallest of three sisters!) so I tend to disappear when my heels are removed.

In this country it's a bit hit and miss, but I remember being blessed with some rather fine weather while on a short break in Llangollen some years ago.

We had booked the Tutankhamun exhibition at the O2 and also the Terracotta Army at The British Museum but these weren't the only trips on the itinerary.
In fact it was a bit of a whistle-stop tour which wouldn't have been complete without a spot at a London shoe shop.

Obviously, I can't take too many as there's no room in the suitcases, but one pair would never be enough for me.

A pair of white sling-back heels similar to the one's I spotted.
It doesn't even matter what type of shop it is - supermarket, clothes shop, grocer's - customers always talk to me.

Well I have and not just one pair either. I have an amazing ability to forget how painful a pair of shoes can be and so it's not surprising that I have more than one pair of 'please don't make me walk' shoes.
There was an interesting article in The Independent this week about the latest killer heels fad which I refer to at the end of this entry.
